Announcing RSG’s Mental Health Awareness Week!
Looking after your mental health is an increasingly prevalent topic in the mainstream health industry and rightfully so. According to Mind, approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year and further, 1 in 6 people report experiencing a common mental health problem in England in any given week.
From the 13th – 19th May, the Mental Health Foundation is running Mental Health Awareness Week, a week-long event that aims to bring awareness to mental health conditions and their management. This year, their theme is Body Image; exploring how we think and feel about our bodies.
In May 2018, we ran our very own Mental Health campaign. As an outcome of that event, we have now committed to a week-long campaign every year. To coincide with the national Mental Health Awareness Week, we will be joining in the conversation with our very own.
In raising awareness of these issues, we hope that we can contribute to creating a more open and understanding dialogue of mental health problems – especially in the workplace.
Adam Meadows, Managing Director at RSG, said “Mental Health Awareness Week provides us with the perfect reminder to consider our mental health alongside our physical health. It is all too easy to neglect our mental wellbeing as we get caught up in everyday activities so, this week, take five minutes out to give yourself a mental health MOT.”
Adam shared his story last year:
RSG will be sharing content throughout the week focused on mental health within both in and out of the workplace as well as holding events for our staff. We hope you find it useful and insightful.
