Sanderson Ireland raise money for Irish Cancer Society
On 23rd March, the Dublin office of our group company Sanderson volunteered for Daffodil Day in Ireland and raised an impressive €1,401.37 for the Irish Cancer Society to support the hard work and commitment that the charity has shown to those affected by cancer.
Daffodil Day is a charity event which began decades ago in Canada. The Irish Cancer Society host an annual ‘Daffodil Day’ to encourage the public to get involved and raise money for the charity.
The Daffodil, known for being the first flower of spring, has become a popular symbol used by cancer societies around the world to represent hope.
Daffodil Day takes place annually and has existed since 1963 – the donations made are used to fund research and services for the disease. The event involves selling daffodils on the street as well as hosting events in the community or workplace in an effort to raise money and awareness for the charity.
