THE short list for this year's Evening Post Business Awards has been unveiled less than two weeks before the big ceremony and RSG has been short-listed for 'Best Business with a Turnover of More Than £5m'.
The event is now in its fourth year and, in spite of the uncertain economic times, the awards attracted more than double the number of entries than in previous years. Firms of all shapes and sizes and from a wide range of sectors put their names forward and the final winners will be unveiled on a gala night held at the Bristol City Marriott hotel on Thursday, June 17. Managing director of Bristol News and Media, Dawna Stickler, chaired the panel of judges who had the task of deciding who should go forward.
She said: "We have been absolutely thrilled with the number and quality of entries we received, even though it made the judging process that much harder. We had a long day and because of the high quality of entries we had a lot of tough decisions to make."
The Evening Post Business Awards – main sponsor the South West Regional Development Agency – were free to enter for all companies with a Bristol postcode.
Mike Beesley, Director of Group Sales and Marketing, commented “Although RSG is one of the largest independent recruitment specialists in the UK, we are also immensely proud of our South Western roots and the vast majority of our staff are all based at our head offices in Bristol. At RSG, we realise that our people are our greatest strength and we rely on them – their vision, their knowledge, their talent and their commitment – to maintain and build our reputation. I would like to personally thank each and every one of them for helping us to be recognised as one of the very best at what we do.”
