Charlie Grubb, RSG's Executive Search Expert, has been singled out for a prestigious IRP Award. By making it onto the Executive Recruiter of the Year shortlist, Charlie & RSG have been recognised among the best recruiters and recruitment organisations in the country.
These awards are the only ones given by recruitment’s trade body, the REC, to salute the very best in the business, working at all levels and in different disciplines. The awards will celebrate the exceptional recruitment professionals who were shortlisted for the awards, all of whom were singled out by their peers for their commitment in going that extra mile for their company, clients and candidates as well as demonstrating great dedication to their work.
Charlie, who has been with the Firstperson Executive, the Executive arm of RSG, for almost five years, works with our clients to help them identify and recruit Executive Leadership or Niche Technical Skills.
On discovering that he is one of only two people to have been short-listed in his category, Charlie commented: “I am absolutely delighted to have been nominated for this award. My team and I combine our experience and expertise with an intuitive nature and a practical approach, adding real value to our clients and helping them to identify the people who will shape their business. Our flexible approach is underpinned by our expertise, rigour, and market knowledge and it's great to have all our hard work acknowledged by the most prestigious Awards in our industry.”
The IRP Awards are the only recruitment accolade provided by the REC with an entry process and judging system devised by the REC and the editorial team of Recruitment Matters. They are an opportunity for recruiters and recruitment businesses to participate and be judged fairly through the use of both detailed judging metrics and an experienced and diverse judging panel.
These awards aim to find and celebrate the achievements of recruiters and recruitment businesses across the country. They support the IRP’s aim of giving recruiters a professional identity that reinforces their credibility among peers and demonstrates professionalism to clients and candidates alike. The IRP Awards are also an opportunity to showcase the best recruitment professionals and recruitment companies for whom IRP members work and who demonstrate that they are committed to professionalising the industry, supporting standards and investing in the personal and professional development of their people.
After receiving more entries than before - and with the contenders reaching new heights of excellence, it took much discussion and deliberation for the judges to reach a consensus on those to include as awards’ finalists.
Anita Holbrow, Director of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals and an awards judge, said:
“Recruitment is an industry built on people and the IRP is the professional institute that celebrates and promotes this valuable asset. I am absolutely delighted with the wide range of entrants, and we were all extremely impressed by the calibre, professionalism and exemplary standards they all bring to their roles.
“All of them – both the shortlisted companies and individuals – all demonstrate the excellence, ethics and best practice which are the embodiment of everything that the IRP stands for, and we look forward to saluting their achievements at the awards evening on October 20.”
This exciting event will be held immediately after the REC’s annual National Convention at the Brewery, Chiswell St on Wednesday 20th October 2010. For full details visit www.rec-awards.com.
